BWD Accountants has been in operation since 1989. It began as a partnership until Vince Carmody decided to move forward alone. Vince wanted to run an accountancy practice different to the traditional operation of being a time/cost, tax compliance, lodgement deadline, stressed accountant. Knowing clients were left wanting after receiving their year-end tax returns.
PHILOSOPHY
BWD wants a business that is open & accomodating to its clients & to be involved in their business to the extent of business size, client need & budget. This involvement is discussed together & decided on by the client. The usual client relationship barriers of being charged for every telephone call or general meetings are removed to open lines of communication between accounat & client for a much more effective & productive relationship.
BWD owns its own premises in the Quatro Building at Warriewood. The floor space is approximately 100sqm with a great outlook. The view was essential as this is where BWD will be for the next 20 years or so.
BWD currently has 5 employees (4 accountants and 1 administration). The firm will remain around this size so that clients are not lost in the organization. We know all our clients.
All accountants are seniors so that clients know they are dealing with knowledgeable professionals. In fact 3 of the accountants have in excess of 15yrs experience each.
CLIENTS
Our clients are small to medium business enterprises. Turnovers range from startups to $20million.
Our business clients vary from trades, manufacturers, importers and exporters and service providers (including real estate, doctors, lawyers, etc...)
We obviously handle the tax obligation of the owners or key players in each business as these are generally integral to the business. We do not generally service the individual PAYG tax return.
We do cater for individuals with investment properties.
